“Data logging with high resolution sensors ”
In today’s expanding market, manufacturers are choosing to upgrade their existing systems, to continue to meet the heavy demands made on production quality and operational output.
At Truflo Marine in Birmingham, the production team assembling Marine Valves and components, were using main power supply and battery powered sensors for logging test results from the valve testing equipment.
Bytronic – won the contract to provide a fully integrated turnkey solution, including all hardware and software, to transform their unreliable system, giving a more robust and reliable method for the operators to evaluate the captured data.
Using the latest technology, the batteries were replaced by using a filtered UPS and linear power supply, along with the latest high resolution DAQ card which is far superior and gives a more accurate result.
Truflo Marine’s original data logging system suffered from noise, due to this, they used software filters to remove this problem. To solve this, we completely re-wrote the software, and rewired all the senors giving accurate collection of data and practically eliminating noise, which also made it a more user friendly system for the operators to use.
Since our installation, the new system suffers from virtually no noise, so thus eliminating the need for software filtering. The result is a superior system, which delivers high accuracy in a more user friendly method.
